animals have found the home and love they deserve. They have found the
"Happy Ending" that they all want and need. In the care of
Goliad pet Adoption and the volunteers these animals have been loved and cared
for when before they had been thrown away. Beyond that and most
importantly, with the help and dedication of the volunteers these helpless
animals have found the love of a real home and family. They have been
given a second chance by this organization and a real loving family that does
want them. We need more Happy Endings like these. We thank you for

My name is Quincy. I'm a male Chow Chow mix. I think I'm about 3 or 4
years old. My foster mom says I have a super personality. I love to run
around and intimidate, but isn't that what Chows are suppose to do? The
volunteers do think that I need to go to a family that have been around
Chow Chows. We are a very "special" breed, you know. I do not
like cats, but think I would do OK with a female companion dog. My foster
mom calls me Mr. Personality, and I love to give kisses and play
"keep away". I have already been neutered, have had all my
shots, and wormings. I did test positive for heartworms, but I have
successfully completed my heartworm treatments and I am now on monthly
heartworm preventative. I have had to live in a cage for a long time now,
and I am ready to go to my very own forever family. I know, once I'm at my
new home, my family will wonder how they ever got along without me! |

Our names are Rhiann and Rhetta. We are
sisters, we think, about 2 or 2 1/2 years old. We are very sweet and
get along great with each other. Rhiann gets along great with just
about any other dog, Rhetta warms up slowly with male dogs, but not so
much to other female dogs. We have had a hard life so far, and have
learned to depend on each other for survival, in this, sometimes,
cruel world. We have already been spayed, are UTD on vaccinations, and
heartworm negative. We would love to be adopted together, and we so
desperately want a family that will play and spend time with
us, love us and let us be a part of the family. We both have so

I am the Baron. Baron Rottweiler. I am one
of 2 neglected Rottweilers who were left to roam and pretty much fend
for ourselves. For some reason, I was the lucky one - I am heartworm
free. I weigh about 80 lbs and could stand to gain a little weight.
Guess when I think about 80 lbs, I can understand why people might
be a bit afraid of me. But I am a pussycat. Oops, wish I hadn't said
that. I really don't like cats at all. I'd love to have a home where I
could be inside and curl up on a couch. If you have room in your heart
and home for a guy like me, I'm here. Waiting patiently. Neutered, UTD
on shots and wormings and ready to go. Approx. date of birth - 3/01

female. I have one brown eye and one blue eye. I have lots of energy and I

Golden Retriever, Border Collie Mix

Notes:
Meet Uma, a wonderful older dog. Even though she was an owner surrender we
don't know a lot about her. We think she is around 9 or 10 years old but
she certainly has quality life left in her.
When she first came to the pound, she was very scared and confused. It was
a few weeks before she accepted that her owners were not coming back and
that the volunteers were a pretty good bunch. She now looks forward to our
visits and gets very excited when we arrive. She is good with children
except that sudden moves will startle her so her new home might be best if
there are no young children. Uma doesn't like every dog she meets
therefore being an only dog would be a good thing. Cats, she ignores. She
is very soft and loves to be petted. And she knows how to shake hands.
After living at the pound for 4 months, Uma moved into foster care. One
thing became immediately apparent. She is housetrained and is a perfect
inside dog.
For Uma we want a home where she can spend the last years of her life
knowing she is loved and spoiled. Please give her that chance. |

I'm Quinlan, a big, male, black lab, about 3 years old. I am just a great
all around dog. I have gotten a little on the chunky side, since I have
been kept in a very small cage at the pound for so long. I do have lots of
energy and would love a big fenced backyard to run and play. I think I
could even learn to play ball or fetch. I'm a very fast learner. I think
most of all, I just need love and attention. I have already been neutered,
have had all my shots and worming. I did test positive for heartworms,
but I have now completed my heartworm treatments and have been started on
monthly heartworm preventative. Now that I am in good health, I am ready
to have my new family come and find me, so that I can start my exercise
program. Maybe they can take me for long walks around my new neighborhood.
I have come a long way since I was brought into the pound, a frightened,
